Steve Jobs Older Days of Brainstroming Sessions with NeXT Team [Video]

Recently i stumbled onto a great video on youtube courtesy TNW one of the rarest video of its era when Steve Jobs after getting fired from Apple inc way back in 1985 founded NeXT which aided education and business markets with workstations.

During his NeXT venture he also worked on object-oriented NeXTSTEP operating system also a programming environment standard called OpenStep, and one of the first enterprise web application frameworks called WebObjects.

The video is from the series named Entrepreneurs which documents the creation of NeXT featuring Steve Jobs brainstorming with his NeXT Team members to generate futuristic ideas for NeXT.

George Clooney or Noah Wyle to Play Steve Jobs in the Movie Adaption of Jobs Biography

Who would you Pick if you have to choose between the sexiest man alive and the man who looks deceptively similar to the Legend himself Late. Steve Jobs for his Upcoming Biopic ?

According to The Sun apparently George Clooney is giving a tough competition to his ER Co Star Noah Wyle who is well known for his Pirates of the Silicon Valley role in which he portrayed younger Steve Jobs in his early days and foundation of Apple.

Steve Jobs Nominated for Time’s Person of the Year Award

Late Apple co-founder Steve Jobs was nominated for the Times Person of the Year Award by “NBC Nightly News” anchor Brian Williams on Wednesday, reports MacRumors.

“One guy, who changed our world, and I said to Seth Meyers as we walked across Sixth Avenue, “Just look with me on this one block walk at how he changed the world around us. Look at how he changed the world.” Not only did he change the world, but he gave us that spirit again that something was possible that you could look at a piece of plastic or glass and move your finger– that’s outlandish. You could make things bigger or smaller like that. “Oh the places you’ll go” and oh the way you will change forever the music and television industries. So may he rest in peace, Steve Jobs, and the spirit he represents, are my nominee for Person of the Year”, said Brian while nominating Steve for the prestigious award.

If selected Steve Would become the first person in the history to receive this award after his death. The award will be presented in the month of December.

“The Lost Interview” of Steve Jobs Coming to a Theater near you

We already saw the release of Steve Job’s Biography which was released a couple of weeks ago became an instant bestseller amongst the electronic as well as physical books around the world.

Now folks in the United States get ready to see your iCon Steve Jobs as he hits the SilverScreen this month with a 70 minute movie named “The Lost Interview” and yes we are not talking about the rumored movie in the making but an old Interview which he gave to Robert Cringely.

The original conversation with Robert was for the author and producer’s 1996 miniseries “Triumph of the Nerds: The Rise of Accidental Empires” about the origins of the personal computer industry and the emergence of Silicon Valley as a technology hub.

The original 70 minutes interview has now been found on a VHS copy in the documentary director’s garage and folks around 19 US cities, including Palo Alto when it releases in two weeks time reports LATimes.

The much awaited biography of the Late. Co-founder of Apple Mr.Steve Jobs who passed away on October 5th from pancreatic cancer was released over kindle a day before the official launch and was also spotted in a store in london airport for half the price and now today as it officially releases it’s now available over the Apple iBooks in the United States.

Steve Jobs Biography Already Availble in London!

Steve Jobs’s Biography which is to be officially released on monday 24th October, but lucky English people can get their hands on the biography like right now!

The book stores in London have already started listing the biographies on their book stands as spotted earlier by 9to5mac.

What’s more better than getting the much awaited biography 2 days before the official launch ? Wait there’s more, the biography is available for half of the actual price at the Heathrow Airport’s WHSmith shop.

The biography is already in the news with various blogs writing about Steve’s thoughts about Apple’s competitors like Microsoft and Google and his quotes about Bill Gates and Steve Ballmer and the remarks made about Android is already floating around the web as a discussion topic.

October 16th Declared As Steve Jobs Day

Governor of California, Jerry Brown announced on Friday, that Sunday, October 16th will be known as “Steve Jobs Day” statewide. This will overlap with the private memorial of Steve Jobs planned at Standford University for on Sunday. The Governor tweeted this in the wee hours of Friday, after the announcement that some of Silicon Valley’s renowned people were invited for the memorial service at Stanford.

The new gathering at Stanford follows the private funeral for Jobs held on October 7th and it comes before the Apple employee memorial which will be held on October 19th. According to the Wall Street Journal the invitations which were sent out to guests asked them to RSVP with the Emerson Collective, which is a philanthropy established by Jobs’ widow, Laurene Powell Jobs. The event is by invitation only, according to sources close to the event.

Steve Jobs died on October 5th from after fighting a long battle with pancreatic cancer.

Jobs : iPhone has a kill switch !

There were always speculations of the iPhone having something called as a Kill Switch using which Apple can remotely Kill any thing on your iPhone but its never been made official by any Apple Executive, that is until now !

Recently in an interview to Walls Street Journal, Apple CEO, Steve Jobs admitted to iPhones having a mechanism that allows the device to contact Apple website and delete the software that the company deems harmful.

Jobs told to WSJ, “”Hopefully we never have to pull that lever, but we would be irresponsible not to have a lever like that to pull.”

Apple using this Kill Switch or Lever, can remove any software on the iPhone which they think is malicious. However if Apple wanted they could’ve pulled this switch long back in the days where Unofficial 3rd Party Apps were common.

Steve Jobs unhappy about MobileMe

Steve Jobs at 4 PM Pacific Time on Monday sent an EMail to his Employers regarding the outcome of MobileMe and the way it’s been shaped up.
Mr.Jobs was apparently very much disappointed with the way MobileMe has turned out. He felt it was launched in a hurry and was not upto Apple Standards !

He expressed to his Employers that the launch of MobileMe should’ve been done in stages and launched only after thorough testings. He also said it was a mistake to coincide the launch of MobileMe with the iPhone 3G.

In effect of this, Jobs told all of his Staff related to MobileMe Development to report to Eddy Cue who in turn will report directly to Jobs himself. Cue therefore will lead all the Online Services provided by Apple right from iTunes to App Store and now MobileME !
