[How to] Enable Hidden Panoramic Mode in Camera App on iPhone

A hidden Panorama mode in iOS 5 has been discovered by @conradev. A panoramic mode will allow you to take multiple pictures of a wide landscape and stitch them together to get a super wide panorama view!

There’s no reason why Apple choose to disable this feature by default, but with a jailbreak-ed iPhone there’s always a way to enable back those stuffs.

A Cydia hack called “FireBreak” will enable this setting in the Camera App and allow you to take breathtaking panoramic photos.

FireBreak is now available on Cydia.

Free App to Use iPhone as Modem

There’s have been quite a few ways to use your iPhone as a Modem. Earlier methods were cumbersome and too complex for normal users.

Then came an easier way, an app called NetShare was launched which made things very easy.

I had also posted a Tutorial to Use your iPhone as Modem via the NetShare Application.

But NetShare was not a free application. An alternative to NetShare has just been released and is now available via Cydia !

The Application is named simply as “iPhone Modem” and promises to tether your iPhone within just 10 seconds !

I haven’t personally tried it yet, but from what I heard it works just as advertised and easy to use !

Get it now from Cydia.

About those wondering what Cydia is, Cydia is a AppStore like Application. You need to JailBreak your iPhone.

KeyVib : Tactile Feedback for iPhone

A new plugin of sorts has recently appeared in Cydia which makes the iPhone Vibrate with each key press. This takes the iPhone 1 step closer to tactile feedback.

The application is named KeyVib and provides just a Toggle Switch to Enable or Disable the Vibration. The software is reported to not drain much battery and is pretty conservative in terms of battery usage.

KeyVib is currently available via the iSpazio Source.

Note : To use this Application you need a JailBreaked iPhone and 2.0+ Firmware !

MMS for iPhone : SwirlyMMS

The iPhone does have some drawbacks, MMS was said to be one of them. But even then that drawback was filled with a 3rd Party Application called as SwirlyMMS. SwirlyMMS worked till Firmware 1.1.4. The new 2.0 Firmware brought come core system changes in the Firmware and thus needed a recode of most older Applications.

Recently the Official Blog of SwirlyMMS announced that they’ve successfully ported it to 2.x Firmware and have confirmed it works.

The application is not yet released. It will be available soon on Cydia and Installer. Expect a Public Release soon !
