iTunes 8 was released yesterday at Apple’s Lets Rock Event. iTunes 8 is the first ever major Version upgrade this year. There’s have been countless iTunes 7.xx iterations.

iTunes 8 offers some major upgrades and some pretty interesting features.

Some Major Changes and Improvements iTunes 8 offers are :

1. Grid View :

As the name suggests, this view shows all your Music and Videos organized in form of a Grid. This indeed looks pretty amazing as seen in the screenshot below. The Media can be grouped by Albums, Artists, Genres or Composers. The Album Art Size can be adjusted via the Slider at the top right, using this the no of objects per line can be adjusted.

Apple recently sent out invites to its next Special Event which is going to be held this September the 9th. The invitation picture above resembles the iPods Interface with a tag line Let’s Rock.

The event will take place at Yerba Buena Center in Sans Francisco at 10am Pacific.

The design of the Invitation hints strongly at Apple releasing its rumored iPod Nano 4th Generation along with price drops for iPod Touch.

Rumors are all round the Internet hinting at a new revised MacBook. With the recent launch of the iPhone 3G, the obvious next upgrade that Apple might carry out is on its famous MacBook line of Notebooks.

This upgrade is said to be a very major one, similar to the previous architectural upgrade that Apple carried out in its entire Mac series of ditching PowerPC and opting for Intel Based Processors and Chipsets.

iPhones latest Software Update 2.0 introduced a whole lot of new applications for the User via its App Store. Tons of new Developers are joining the iPhone Software Development camp as there’s a huge amount of potential in iPhone as a software platform.

With Facebook, NYTimes and other similar Companies already launched their iPhone centric Application a new addition was made to that Big Names list – Wordpress !

Wordpress is the Worlds largest and most used Blogging Software. Wordpress recently launched their very own Blogging Application for the iPhone to help iPhone users Blog on the move. The Application is Opensource and supports Blogs hosted on both Wordpress.com and also Self-Hosted Blogs (v2.5 and above).
