iPhone already has a plethora of some awesome Racing based games. Some of my favorites included GTS World Racing, Asphalt 4, Speedburst and a few others. But I’d always been waiting for the Need for Speed (NFS) Series to get ported over to the iPhone ever since EA took keen interest in developing iPhone/iPod Touch applications.
Well finally the wait is over and EA has just released its latest iteration of the NFS series – NFS Undercover for the iPhone !

Its quite a while now that iPhone/iTouch 2.1 Firmware has been launched. A Jailbreak solution was released for the Mac Users. Windows users still had no easy option.
Well that is until now, the Dev Team has made available the latest version of QuickPwn for Windows, Quickpwn 2.1.

There’s have been quite a few ways to use your iPhone as a Modem. Earlier methods were cumbersome and too complex for normal users.
Then came an easier way, an app called NetShare was launched which made things very easy.
I had also posted a Tutorial to Use your iPhone as Modem via the NetShare Application.
But NetShare was not a free application. An alternative to NetShare has just been released and is now available via Cydia !
The Application is named simply as “iPhone Modem” and promises to tether your iPhone within just 10 seconds !
I haven’t personally tried it yet, but from what I heard it works just as advertised and easy to use !
Get it now from Cydia.
About those wondering what Cydia is, Cydia is a AppStore like Application. You need to JailBreak your iPhone.

As promised, Apple has released the iPhone 2.1 Firmware Update today. This updates comes with many new bug fixes and enhancements. Some of which include Improved Calls, Application Stability and also Enhanced Security among others !

A major security Flaw in the iPhone was discovered a few weeks ago. This flaw bypassed the Lock and allowed access to Users private data. A workaround to fix that was posted here.
Apple has hence beefed up the Security in the new 2.1 Firmware and now provides a more secure option which Wipes all your Data if Incorrect Password is given 10 times in a row.

This option is currently available in the iPod 2.1 Firmware and I’m sure that it will be available in the iPhone 2.1 Firmware too.

The next Apple Event was confirmed to be taking place on 9th September and Apple had sent out invitation for it in an iPod like Designed plycard as reported earlier.
The main subject of this Event was the new iPod 4G Launch and new iPod Touch design. But along with that, its now confirmed that iTunes 8 will also be launched along side to coincide with the launch of new iPods.
Some Features that iTunes 8 is reported to have are :
- New Genius feature that will group similar Music together and Create Playlists along with a Genius Sidebar which recommends you Music from iTunes Store automatically guessing your Music type.
- HD TV Shows : Users will now be able to download 720p Encoded High Definition Video Content.
- Grid View : As the name suggests, a new Grid Layout will be available. I reckon it will be same as one thats been used for showing Application now.
- New Music Visualizer
