[How to] Enable Hidden Panoramic Mode in Camera App on iPhone

A hidden Panorama mode in iOS 5 has been discovered by @conradev. A panoramic mode will allow you to take multiple pictures of a wide landscape and stitch them together to get a super wide panorama view!

There’s no reason why Apple choose to disable this feature by default, but with a jailbreak-ed iPhone there’s always a way to enable back those stuffs.

A Cydia hack called “FireBreak” will enable this setting in the Camera App and allow you to take breathtaking panoramic photos.

[iOS Tips] View Pictures By Location On Your iPhone

Now you can view photos of your favorite places on your iPhone and 3G-equipped iPad with the use of a new feature named “Places”. This  new feature in the Photos app allows you to see pictures based on geographical location.

From the iOS homescreen:

  • Tap on “Photos”, then at the bottom of the Camera Roll tap onto “Places”
  • Scroll and zoom on the Google Map to show pins for specific regions tagged with photos
  • Tap a red pin to see a photo count exclusive to that place, then tap the blue > arrow to see camera roll only for that location

This feature is only accurate to use if you have Location Services and geographic tagging enabled for the photos app.] [via - OSXDaily]

iOS 5.0.1 Beta 2 Seeded to Developers

It was just a couple of days ago that Apple seeded the iOS 5.0.1 Beta 1 for the developers, the update saw some bug fixes in the Battery Life front as well as improvements in the Siri Voice Recognition with addition of support for Australian Accent.

Just hours after the release of the beta 1 there were some issues with the registration of the device for the developers. But Apple has just released the second beta for the iOS 5.0.1 with the build 9A404. This update is available for those who have updated their iDevices to the first iOS 5.0.1 beta 1 update as an over the air update.

So those of you who’ve already downloaded and installed iOS 5.0.1 Beta 1 from the links we posted before, you should simply perform a OTA update. OTA updates are much smaller in size.

Developers Facing Activation Issues with iOS 5.0.1 Beta

We reported earlier today about the iOS 5.0.1 Beta seeded for the Developers, the update is supposed to fix the battery drainage bug, some security improvements  and some improvements in the Siri Voice Recognition front (adding support for Australian accent).

The downloads are developers only, which means only the registered developers can download the build. But as reported earlier today by Appleinsider more than 20 developers have reported activation problems with the iOs 5.0.1 beta update and have notified the same at the developers forum.

iPhone 4S to Launch in 15 More Countries on 11th November

Keeping its promise of launching the iPhone 4s is as many countries as possible before the end of the year, Apple is doing every bit to achieve their 70 countries target before the end of  this year.

So as announced earlier Apple will be launching the iPhone4S in 15 more countries on 11th of November taking their tally up to the 44 countries mark, adding up to the 7 countries first phase launch and the 22 countries second phase launch in the month of October.
