We have seen lots of developers trying their hearts out to bring the Siri port on the iPhone 4 and other older iDevices (other than iPhone4S which officially has the feature out of the box),many of them tried different tricks to fool the apple servers for getting their devices recognized as iPhone 4S while using the feature.

Last week we also reported about siriOus tool which was pulled hours after the release over the Cydia store, since the developer wanted to try out different voice recognition technology for his app.Now as reported earlier today by iClarified yet another app has surfaced over Cydia claiming to be working on older iDevices named H1 Siri.

Though it’s not yet clear about how the port works for the older iDevices but it’s belied that like other hacks its also using a proxy to service the requests from the users, so expect somewhat buggy experience and request failures because of excessive traffic load on the server.

Checkout the H1Siri video in action:

Today is the day of jailbreaking tools. With the news of release of C-Dev reporter by Chronic Dev Team which will send crash reports to Chronic Dev Team servers (instead of Apple’s) so they can find exploits, now that news has been followed up by the news of yet another jailbreaking tool. It’s called Ac1dSn0w and it jailbreaks iOS 5/iOS 5.0.1 tethered on OS X Snow Leopard and Lion.

Although, Ac1dSn0w isn’t really different from established tools like Redsn0w and Sn0wbreeze but it is a promising alternative with its features like remote jailbreaking, custom firmware creation and iRecovery Remote. Also, it is currently available for OS X only.

From PwnDevTeam:

I’m pleased to announce that we’ve just released Beta 1 of Ac1dSn0w for Mac OS X Lion (should alsowork on Snow Leopard). Ac1dSn0w allows you to jailbreak your iDevice tethered. It also provides features like Tethered Boot, Pwned DFU, and Exit Recovery to get your device out of Recovery Loop.It currently supports iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPod touch 4G and original iPad on iOS 5 and iOS 5.0.1 for tethered jailbreak. Once you go through the steps, your device will be jailbroken tethered, just like redsn0w or sn0wbreeze. iPad 2 and iPhone 4S are NOT supported.

Step 1: Download Ac1dSn0w [Google Docs Link] and launch it.

Forgot your OS X Lion password? Need help? Here’s how you can make use of your Apple ID to reset your password, other than resetting it with the passwordreset command line tool or by creating a new user account.

Resetting a Lost OS X Lion Password Using an Apple ID

Before you begin with this method it’s crucial to note that, this method only works if you set an Apple ID to tie with the OS X user account, and this option will not be suitable for users with FileVault 2 protection enabled. Also note that this leads to the creation of a new keychain, but the old keychain will remain intact.
