Many people who have the iPhone/iPod Touch are still not able to install the FREE Applications because they don’t have an iTunes account as iTunes Compulsorily needs a Credit Card to create one !
I’ll explain in short how to get yourself a FREE iTunes Account without Credit Card !
Follow the Steps below :
1. Open iTunes
2. Click on iTunes Store from Left Side Pane.
3. At the very bottom of the page, select My Store as “United States”. (Other Countries are not tested)

4. Click on any FREE Application to Download as Shown in the Pic above :
5. The Page related to that Application will open. Click on Get App and you’ll get a Box as shown below :
6. In the Dialog Box Click on Create New Account.
7. Click on Continue.
8. Accept the License Agreement by Ticking the Check Box and then Click on Continue.
9. Fill in your Email ID, Password, Secret Question and Birth Date and click Continue.
10. Now as you see in the Image Below. You have another Payment Option which says “None“. Check that !

11. Fill in your Details and click Continue. (if you’re wondering what to fill in for Address, you can fill up any valid PIN Code and Fone No. ex. City: New York, State: NY, Zip: 10012, Phone: 212 226-3127)
12. You’ll now be sent an Email. Check your EMail, Verify your Account.
13. Congratulations ! You’ve successfully created a new iTunes Account, totally free and without using or exposing any Credit Card Information !
/\/\/\/\/\/\/OLD METHOD\/\/\/\/\/\/ : (Doesn’t Work now)
1. Open iTunes
2. Click on iTunes Store from the Left Side Pane.
3. At the very bottom of the page, select My Store as “United States”.
4. When the page opens at the Right hand side Under Quick Links, select “Redeem“.
5. Now Go to this site : http://www.tunecore.com/freealbum! You will get a Code from there.
6. Paste that Code in the Redeem Screen of iTunes.
7. You’ll be asked to Enter Your Apple/AOL IDs. Ignore that !
8. Click on Create New Account at the bottom left of that Window.
9. Enter your Details. Now at the Payment Screen you’ll see that Payment is Optional and None option is added.
10. Simply Select that None option and Click Continue !
11. Voila ! You’ve just created yourself a new iTunes Account totally FREE without any Credit Card !

for some reason, when I downloaded an app directly onto my iPhone, from the onboard app store on the iPhone, that app wouldn’t operate. I had previously synced the iPhone and Mac, so this program was also shown on my iTunes. I ended up authorizing my computer (Store>Authorize Computer…) which it said I had already done, synced my iPhone again, and then unplugged and rebooted the phone. while rebooting, I went into the applications folder in iTunes, and clicked and dragged the app I was having trouble with, onto my desktop. then I deleted it from iTunes. and then pulled it back in. when I synced my phone the second time, it re-installed the program (this time, via iTunes, NOT directly from the apps store on my phone), and now it works fine.
so watch out; programs you get directly off the apps store on your phone, may not operate correctly without some fidgeting.

If you want to Buy Songs you’ll have to Add a Credit Card to your Account.
With the current account you’ll only be able to Download all the FREE things such as Free Applications, Free Podcasts or Free Music if any.

September 21st, 2008 at 11:50 amWell I have a very important comment about all this, if you still have iTunes 7 may it work, but with iTunes 8 is useless, the tunecore code generator don’t works anymore, and the applications says that the code has been used once, and if you start a new account process the no credit card will not appear, so if you need it, well in a PC maybe it’s easier to get the installer or a computer with this version of the app, than a Mac if you have your computer almost in everything automatic.
If you had the account by this way before the update, it’ll work fine with iTunes 8, algo for generating Genius Playlists, getting some album arts, not all CD’s can be found, and well the main objective downloading the iTunes store free content, like apps, music and othe stuff. Good Luck! -
