There’s a newer Guide which uses Winpwn 2.5. Its more stable and error free.

Everything went smoothly…till the end…when I got the message, your iphone will be restored to factory setting? Am I supposed to get this message? And the phone was still locked after that? Help

i followed the tutorial completely, everything went fine until a message popped up saying an unknown error happened (0xE8000001) on itunes. what does that mean? i was almost there too!!! its been 2 days now, trying to unlock my 2G iphone i just got it. please help…anyone….please…
